Feliz Páscoa! I hope everybody is enjoying Easter AND General Conference weekend. It’s been great for us, we don’t know which topic to talk about when we meet new people in the streets. I mean, do you talk about the Resurrection of Christ, or the prophet and church that He restored? So we just find ways to talk about both haha.
We had our first presentation of the temple cantata this past Sunday! It was in Guarujá, which means I got to see a lot of people from Boa Esperança briefly. It didn’t go perfectly, but it definitely was an improvement over our last practice! haha. I’ll attach a picture that Sister Cabral took of the group, plus a couple from the Guarujá ward who came in during our (super-trunky) song about eternal marriage. The cantata is really cool! There are songs/spoken parts about the ancient temples and their restoration in modern times, the importance of the symbolism in the temples (that’s one of my favorite songs, “Sacraments and Symbols”), eternal families, and family history work (Elder Stokes and I sing a duet on that one). Everybody really enjoyed it, and there were a lot of people there who were asking us questions about temples afterward.
We also had our Easter conference this week, which meant that we were really busy here in the office but it was great. After a bunch of trainings in the morning by the zone leaders, who talked about the techniques that Elder Aidukaitis taught us, we learned about the ancient Passover and the modern Easter, and the importance of the Sacrament in change and repentance. All good things!
Not too much else to add. Happy Easter to everybody, love you all!
