So this week was pretty good! Unfortunately, most of the investigators we’re working with didn’t come to church yesterday, but one couple did, and they’re super good! We stopped to ask directions one day in the road, and the man said, “Oh, my wife is a member of your church! She’s been telling me for a while that she wants to come back.” So that was pretty great! We had a family home evening with them and some members, and then they came to church yesterday and really liked it.
Then after church there was a baptism of a man in the Casqueiro ward! He is super great too–he walked up to us one day on the street and asked, “What do I have to do to be a member of your church?” And so we put him in contact with the sisters in Casqueiro, who told him he just had to be baptized, and he said, “Okay, great! Baptize me!” That was really cool. And then after the baptism we got the transfer news! Elder Gonzalez was transferred to Vila Sônia and I’m starting over with a new trainee tomorrow! I’ll be getting my new companion here in Cubatão. I wasn’t really expecting that haha. Elder Timmons also left the zone.
Well that’s mostly the news from here! We had another practice for the song we’ll sing when Elder Holland comes. [Thanks for the photos, Sister Cabral!] We’re lucky here in the Santos stake, because we’ll get to be there when he speaks to the members/public that evening, in addition to his meeting with the missionaries in the morning.
Thank you for all the letters and the emails! I really appreciate it. Love you all, have a good week!
